Cast
Jamie – Running man
Joel – Bully sidekick
Jordan – Bully
Reuben – Bullied boy
Potential Location
Shearwater is a potential location of ours as it has a lake and woods next to it which are two things that we need, as I stated in my proposal we are looking to film in the woods and throw shoes into a lake. Shearwater has a seemingly perfect environment for us to film.
Outfits
Running man will be wearing a jogging outfit with running shoes, he will be wearing all black hoodie, joggers and running shoes. The outfit will look something like this:

Next the bully will wear a big jacket, joggers and trainers. This will look a little like this

As the bullied boy running away I will be wearing a red flannel shirt, blue jeans and some vans shoes. Looking like:

The camera for the first scene will be setup by me and managed by Jordan as Jamie starts to run through the forest, together Jordan and I will film the first scene as Joel prepares for scene 2. The first scene will be Jamie running through a forest whilst he puts in his headphones and the music begins.
The second scene will be prepared by Joel and Jamie setup by Joel and managed by Jamie. I will then get into position of hiding as Jordan runs to try and find me this scene will be filmed outside with me hiding behind a bush so I am visible to the camera. Jordan will run past me.
We will film both of these scenes on Saturday 28th of November 2018 as of our first call sheet linked here
Location
We decided that we were running out of time and could therefore not film in a location outside of Salisbury. We found an underpass around the area just outside Salisbury sixth form college to film the scene of the victim running away from the bully. We will then film the runners scenes and the throwing of shoes in the park by the college.
Risk assessment
Where we film has a big part of the risk assessment. When filming in the underpass it was raining and we did test shoots to test how slippery the floor was. We found that we were able to run on the floor whilst not slipping up too much and the rain gave a nice effect to the film. Looking into the future when we’re filming in the park we will have to make sure that no one hurts themselves on anything when running. We had to make sure that Jamie didn’t fall into the river when we shooted his scene where he threw the shoes into the water. To not harm any of the sea life we decided it would be better to have him fake throwing them and making sure to edit out the unnecessary parts in post
Filming
We have been running into problems with finding suitable times to film where everyone is free but we have been filming during the times everyone has free periods. We are making sure to stay on schedule and getting all the clips needed. We have filmed some running scenes of Jamie running through the forest. We improvised and used park trees to manipulate a forest look.
Consent to participate
We managed to get the participation of all of the actors included in the music video

All of the actors in the music video have now signed that they are willing to be a part of the filming process.
An Analysis of a music video
I am going to be analysing the music video “Loneliness – Odd beholder” Which will give me an indication of how music videos relate to the songs lyrics or the beat of the song.
The opening lyrics are “loneliness you’re a friend” with this being said the camera has a shot of some green sticky mud on what looks like a pipe. It then has a pan along the pipe as “that I hate” is being sung. This dark setting and underlying tones of sadness and depression as the camera cuts to a building barely lit with no life inside of it. is expressing the person in the song feels by themselves.
The song then gets into a faster paced beat after starting of slowly and the lyrics are repeated once again in the same setting however this time round there is one person alone fencing also adding on “I hate the most”
In the video we can see the fencer is slipping up and making mistakes trying to recover a balanced position to get back and fight. This could symbolise the person trying to battle the fear or reality of being alone and making the mistakes that took them into that position.
For the next verse the camera is shot as a close up, when the fencer gets back off the ground, it’s shot onto the dirty feet and dirty hands of them. For me this is a symbolism of how messy your brain can become when you have to bottle up all of your emotions with no one around to help. It all becomes one foggy memory building up and creating self deprecating thoughts that slowly take control of your whole body.
After the lyrics “loneliness you’re a friend, that I fear” have been sung the camera cuts to a pan around the abandoned building where everything is rotten and moldy which is another symbolism for how you feel when you’re stuck alone with no one to go to. The space also feels very cramped and therefore shows the emotions of the song writer having to experience a closed off personality.
“If you must fight me, my friend. Fight me gently” Again the fencer is slipping up and trying to stay balanced but can’t manage it and is on the floor on their knees looking defeated “I feel tired so tired and tired” is being sung whilst the fencer is at the breaking point of giving up with the hard struggle of a battle.
The camera then cuts to another close up of the fencer on the floor looking dirty and the sword itself is dirty too. I think this could be a representation of how when you are in the feeling of loneliness you don’t just affect yourself you also affect others as you push people away who you don’t believe could ever care for you. And it hurts the people that your forcing away just as it does with you
Another pan around the room showing doorways that look blocked by a metal door of some sort and getting closer up on the mold and mud emphasising the emotional distress the writer feels. There is minimal lighting in this place but the light that does shine through could be a sign that there is still hope as the fencer is back on their feet still stumbling. and then they collapse… sliding down a broken piece of rusty metal broken. Stopped in their tracks. They lost the battle.
We’re then greeted by the camera putting a focus on the actor playing the fencer. Who looks defeated and broken. They are about to take off their mask and reveal their identity. They take off their mask to reveal a woman. She looks around the floor for a bit but manages to plunge back up again. But not for long as the battle with herself is too strong and puts her back on the floor again. The close up cuts to her dirty clothing indicate the whole battle was tough and that she put in all the effort possible
After this it continues to make fast cuts of her slipping up or lying down or trying to get up. And finally it cuts to her face looking defeated thinking about everything that happened. The whole journey and whether or not it was worth the sacrifices. It ends off closing out with her on the floor looking tired, defeated and distressed. With a cut back to the mud shot at the start which fades to black.
The whole song was about a battle with yourself and a lot of people can relate to that and it’s emphasised a lot in the music video. Although the lyrics were just repeated, the video itself was the main focus and it gets the message across with the lyrics involved people understand that it’s a mental battle that she faces everyday whilst trying to stay afloat for people in public eye in reality she breaks when she’s alone.
